Paul: Betty, você ainda está namorando o John?
Betty, are you and John still dating?
Betty: Sim, as coisas estão indo muito bem.
Yeah, things are going really good.
Paul: Onde você o encontrou?
Where did you meet him?
Betty: Eu o encontrei na biblioteca há algumas semanas atrás. Nós estávamos sentados na mesma mesa e ele me pediu minha caneta emprestada.
I met him at the library a couple of weeks ago. We were sitting at the same table and he asked to borrow my pen.
Paul: Uau, essa é uma boa história.
Wow, that’s a nice story.
Betty: Eu estava falando com o Jim sobre isso outro dia. Ele achou muito romântica.
I was telling Jim about it the other day. He thought it was pretty romantic.
Paul: Vocês dois tem planos para hoje à noite?
Do you two have plans for tonight?
Betty: Sim, eu acho que nós vamos alugar um filme. Você viu alguma coisa boa ultimamente?
Yes, I think we’re going to rent a movie. Have you seen anything good lately?
Paul: Eu ví o Homem Aranha outro dia.
I saw Spider-Man the other day.
Betty: Eu ouví que é um filme divertido.
I’ve heard that’s a really funny movie.
Paul: Tá brincando? O filme não é divertido. É triste. Eu estava chorando ao final.
Are you kidding? That movie’s not funny. It’s sad. I was crying at the end.
Betty: Você é muito sensível, não é?
You’re really sensitive, aren’t you?
