Ou seja, como um pronome substantivo. III- Os termos NO e NONE significam a mesma coisa tanto na tradução como em seu uso nas regras. Assinale a alternativa CORRETA: A Somente a afirmativa III está correta. B Somente a afirmativa II está correta. C As afirmativas I e II estão corretas. D As afirmativas I e III estão corretas. II - Uncountable Nouns. ( ) I answered many questions. ( ) How much sugar do you need? ( ) She is very poor. She spends little money on clothes. Assinale a alternativa que apresenta a sequência CORRETA: A II - II - I. B II - I - II. C I - I - II. D I - II - II. 4Sobre o uso do MOST e MORE, podemos dizer que eles são utilizados, na maioria das vezes, com palavras longas ou com mais de duas sílabas, como comfortable, intelligent, modern, entre outras. Partindo disso, classifique T (true) para as sentenças verdadeiras e F (false) para as falsas: ( ) É comum, em frases do superlativo utilizar o MOST com THAN. ( ) É comum, em frases do comparativo, utilizar o LESS com MORE. ( ) É comum, em frases do comparativo, utilizar o MORE com THAN. Assinale a alternativa que apresenta a sequência CORRETA: A T - F - T. B F - T - T. C F - F - T. D T - F - F. 5Os substantivos podem ser contáveis ou incontáveis, countable and uncountable nouns. Os substantivos contáveis (countable nouns) referem-se a coisas que podemos contar. Os substantivos incontáveis (uncountable nouns) referem-se a coisas que não podemos contar. Sobre os countable and uncountable nouns, associe os itens, utilizando o código a seguir: I- Countable Nouns. II- Uncountable Nouns. ( ) I bought many bottles of milk. ( ) There wasn't much milk in the bottles. ( ) We have a few minutes to talk. Assinale a alternativa que apresenta a sequência CORRETA: A II - II - I. B II - I - I. C I - II - I. D II - I - II. 6Os countable nouns são utilizados com aquilo que podemos contar através de números. Eles possuem formas no singular e no plural. No singular utilizamos os determinantes "a" ou "an". Os uncountable nouns são utilizados com aquilo que não podemos contar através de números. Eles podem identificar ideias ou qualidades abstratas, entre outros. Partindo disso e das regras que constituem os Quantitatives, classifique T (true) para as sentenças verdadeiras e F (false) para as falsas: ( ) Os substantivos, por vezes, podem ser classificados em contáveis e incontáveis. ( ) Antes dos incontáveis, utilizamos MANY, FEW. ( ) Antes dos contáveis, utilizamos MUCH, LITTLE. Assinale a alternativa que apresenta a sequência CORRETA: A T - F - F. B T - F - T. C F - T - T. D F - F - T. 7Sobre o superlative degree, considere a tirinha a seguir. Com base na tirinha, é correto afirmar que a regra do superlative degree tem: FONTE: https://encrypted-tbn0.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcQ7O39k qoMwGFSBP4PlR8XHydvJiHKetfo3ObvoSR36XVqv67E. Acesso em: 28 jun. 2018. A Uma regra única, que abarca todos os casos do uso do grau do superlativo. B Escrita igual ao comparative of superiority. C Exceções que necessitam ser levadas em conta. D Semelhança com a regra do comparative of inferiority. 8The strongest and the weakest: As man's population soars towards 6 billion, other species sharing the planet with him are being driven to extinction. In biological terms, the disappearance of less efficient forms before more efficient or better adapted ones is not new. But the present situation has no parallels because the endangered species, and those that have already wanished during the past 400 years, have not fallen before man's biological superiority. Many species are more and more victims of man's greed, stupidity and thoughtlessness. One of the most important facts is that only 1/4 of the birds and mammals that have vanished since 1600 have done so through natural causes. Man is responsible for the plight of about 68% of the endangered birds and 86% of mammals. Since 1600 at least 120 forms of mammals and 150 forms of birds have become extinct; and today at least a further 120 species of mammals and 187 species of birds are threatened with this fate. These figures represent almost 7% of the species in these two groups that existed in 1600. Some of the endangered animals are: Polar bear, the California condor, the vicuna, the addax, the blue whale, the snow leopard, the monkey-eating eagle and mountain gorilla, among many others. To some degree the problem is now being faced by the creation of natural reservers and by legislation to protect endangered species, but it may already be too late. A partir das informações do texto, assinale a alternativa CORRETA: FONTE: Adapted from The Earth & Man, Rand McNally World Atlas, 1987, p. 86-87. A Some biological species are weaker than others. B Man is the only one to blame for the disappearence of many species. C More mammals are being extinct than birds. D Only 7% of the species of birds are being treated. 9O grau comparativo de igualdade, se dá quando colocamos dois seres no mesmo nível, igualando-os. Essa comparação pode ser utilizada para estabelecer uma relação entre dois seres ou situações. Sobre o comparative of equality, analise as seguintes afirmativas: I- We are the world's largest producer of sugar. II- You used to wait years to have a telephone installed. III- These resources are no longer exploited at the cost of the environment. IV- Brazilians are as technology-hungry as anywhere in the world. Assinale a alternativa CORRETA: A As afirmativas I, II e IV estão corretas. B As afirmativas II e III estão corretas. C Somente a afirmativa I está correta. D Somente a afirmativa IV está correta. 10The comparative of equality degree happens if two things are EQUAL in some way, we can use a comparison with as ... as .... The comparisons may involve adjectives or adverbs after the first as, and noun phrases or clauses after the second as. Then, classify with T, the true sentences and with F, the false sentences about the comparative of equality: ( ) We can use "not as... as" in the comparative equality - negative form. ( ) We can use "not so... as" in the comparative equality - negative form. ( ) We can use only "as + adjective or adverb" in the comparative equality - affirmative form. Choose the alternative that presents the CORRECT sequence: A T - T - F. B F - F - T. C F - T - F. D T - F - F.
