Carly: So, Amanda... tell me about the time you were  (to be) in hospital.
Amanda: Well, I was  (to be) tired most of the time. Look! This was  (to be) my room. It was
 (to be) big beatiful, with pastel yellow walls.
Carly: What hospital was  (to be) it?
Amanda: Saint Mary’s, in the old town. Moving on... this was  (to be) my nurse, Mrs. Newman. She burnt her
finger one day, it was very funny!
Carly: And this hansome man, was  (to be) he your doctor?
Amanda: Yes, doctor Smithson. He sprained  (sprain) his ankle when he was  (to be) a child, so he
understood my pain.
Carly: Oh, I see. Now tell me about that day.
Amanda: I had  (have) a headache, I fainted  (faint) at school, and my ears bled 
(bleed). I felt  (feel) very sick, so mom took me to the hospital.
Carly: were  (to be) your parents always with you?
Amanda: Mom was  (to be), but dad wasn't  (to be + not / contraction). He worked a lot, so he
was  (to be) there only on weekends.
Carly: yeah...
Amanda: The bad part is that my whole body hurt  (hurt), they needed to give me strong medication.
Carly: Strong medication? Do you mean... injections?
Amanda: No! Thank God I didn't need an injection. Only pain-killers.
Carly: oh, much better! And so, what was  (to be) the problem?
Amanda: Oh, the disease has a difficult name... but I'm ok now.
