NOTE: O pronome pessoal sujeito deve vir antes do verbo e o pronome pessoal objeto deve colocado depois do verbo. *O pronome “you” tem a mesma forma nas quatro funções – tanto na função de pronome sujeito singular e plural quanto na função de pronome objeto singular e plural. O uso do pronome reflexivo (“_self”) requer que o sujeito e o objeto da sentença se refiram à mesma pessoa. Em outras palavras, a ação praticada pelo “sujeito” tem impacto sobre ele mesmo. * Já se perguntou por que dizemos “Vou/vamos fazer uma selfie”? - Porque “vou/vamos fazer uma foto de nós mesmos.” * Selfie vem do reflexivo self. Os adjectivos possessivos requerem SEMPRE um complemento (my+work, your+teacher, his+wife etc) enquanto que os pronomes possessivos andam SEMPRE sozinhos e, muitas vezes, no final da sentença. 2. Por exemplo, “my” e “mine” significam exatamente a mesma coisa – o meu, a minha, os meus, as minhas. O que determina a escolha de um em detrimento do outro é a estrutura da frase. Ex: a) My mother is short, and your mother is tall. = My mother is short, and yours is tall. b) This is your phone. The blue phone is mine. *”its” is usually NOT used as possessive pronoun.
