7 Netflix Tricks You Just Can’t Live Without
One of the main reasons Netflix is so popular is because of its simplicity. It’s painfully easy to queue up a movie on your
laptop, video game console or mobile device and start watching in mere seconds. But that simplicity means there are a
lot of features to Netflix that the average customer may not be using. Here, we’ve rounded up some useful tips to help
you get the most out of Netflix:

See What Movies Are Coming and Going
Netflix’s lineup of movies and TV shows is constantly changing as the company gains and loses licensing rights for
different content. Sites like Instant Watcher and What’s New On Netflix offer a daily rundown of new releases on the
streaming service. Finding out when movies are going to be removed is a little trickier, because Netflix has purposefully
obscured that information. However, the site Now Streaming updates regularly with lists of movies that will soon be
going offline.
Get Better Search Options
Search options on Netflix are fairly limited, which can make it hard to find quality movies from the service’s vast amount
of content. Sites like Instant Watcher let you filter options by parameters such as year released as well as rating on Netflix
and Rotten Tomatoes. And if your favorite movie isn’t on Netflix right now, you can use Can I Stream It or
WhereToWatch to find out where else a film might be available to stream legally online.
Use Your Phone As a Remote
On the PlayStation 3, customers can use their phone or tablet to control Netflix instead of a video game controller. First,
make sure your mobile device and your PS3 are connected to the same Wi-Fi network. Then boot up the Netflix app on
both devices, and your phone or tablet can be used to control the movie playing on the big screen.
Get Smarter Recommendations
Netflix prides itself on its algorithms that are supposed to serve up content you’ll love that you didn’t even know you
wanted. But the process only works if you feed the company a lot of info about what you enjoy. Rate movies regularly to
get more precise recommendations, and don’t forget to fill out your taste preferences in your account settings. You can
access the taste preferences list by selecting the “Your Account” option on the Web-based version of Netflix.
Change Subtitles
Tired of Netflix’s signature yellow subtitles? You can choose among eight different text colors as well as a background
color to place behind the text. The font and text size can also be adjusted. The options are available in the “Your Account”
settings on the Web version of Netflix.
Eliminate Buffering
There’s no bigger buzzkill during a exciting movie than being hit with a buffering screen. Netflix has a hidden menu to
help you banish buffering. Press Shift + Alt + Left Click while streaming a show to bring up a diagnostic screen. Click
“Screen Manager,” then select the “Manual” checkbox to alter the stream’s bit rate. A lower number will lower the image
quality of the program but will also allow you to watch on a slower connection without constant interruptions
Erase Your Viewing History
You couldn’t resist and watched that terrible show for five hours one rainy Sunday afternoon. It’s OK—no one ever has
to know. Netflix will let you see a log of your viewing history and wipe specific items from the record books across all
devices. Simply go to the “Your Account” option in the settings menu, click “Viewing Activity” and click the X on any
shows you want to erase. Then you can go on watching trashy reality TV with impunity.

aconteceram.
Observe as formas
e os usos deste tempo verbal:

- AFFIRMATIVE FORM / FORMA AFIRMATIVA:
I will wait for you in front of the College.
They will help us when they have a time.
She will only be at home next month.

- NEGATIVE FORM / FORMA NEGATIVA: a forma negativa do Simple Future forma-se acrescentando
not após o auxiliar modal will. O verbo principal permanece no infinitivo, sem to.
Rachel won't come.
I think it will not rain in the day of your marriage.
He won't go with us. I will not celebrate my birthday next year.
FUTURO SIMPLES - SIMPLE FUTURE
- INTERROGATIVE FORM / FORMA INTERROGATIVA: na forma interrogativa do Simple Future, o
auxiliar modal will posiciona-se antes do sujeito. O verbo principal permanece no infinitivo, sem
to.
Will he travel abroad?
Where will you spend your vacation?

Usos:
He's sure his team will win the championship.
Penelope is a good student. She'll pass the exam.

2. Expressar ações que se completarão no futuro:
John will work in New York next year.
Cars will be more economical in the future.

3. Expressar decisões tomadas no momento da fala:
The phone is ringing. I'll answer it!

bastante educado:Will you close the door, please?
Will you bring me my coat, please?
Will you please take my suitcase to my room?

Going to.

- AFFIRMATIVE FORM / FORMA AFIRMATIVA: a forma afirmativa desta estrutura verbal é formada
por going to seguido do infinitivo do verbo principal, sem to. O verbo to be serve como auxiliar e se
posiciona após o sujeito:

We are going to spend our vacation in Paris.
My mother is going to take me to the school today.
I'm going to call you tonight.
I'm going to have a shower before having dinner.

GOING TO
- NEGATIVE FORM / FORMA NEGATIVA: na forma negativa, coloca-se not entre o verbo to be e
going to:
I'm not going to talk to you until you apologize for what you have done.
They are not going to come.
I'm not going to have any difficulty to do that.

to be se posiciona antes do sujeito.
Are they going to help us?
What are you going to do next weekend?
Is she going to have a baby?
Is he going to stay here?

Usos:
1. Expressar intenção de fazer alguma coisa:
I'm going to eat less to try to lose weight.
I'm going to go for a walk.

2. Falar de planos para o futuro:
He is going to be an engineer when he grows up.
Philip is going to be engaged next month.
When I leave high school, I'm going to study architecture.

What are you going to do tonight?
She is going to talk to you in a few minutes.
It is going to rain by the end of the day.

month; next year; in a week; tomorrow; in a month; in a year; today; tonight; tomorrow, etc.

Will é usado

TEXTO 2

U2 will be heading to Paris for two performances in early December, despite the recent terror attacks in
that city.

U2 postponed their tour dates in Paris after the November 13 terror attacks on the city. According to Bono,
they will be appearing in Paris at the AccorHotels Arena.

As reported in the Inquisitr, after a series of coordinated terror attacks across Paris on November 13 that
claimed the lives of 130 people, including an attack on the Bataclan concert hall where the band Eagles of
Death Metal were playing, the band Foo Fighters canceled their Paris tour and Irish band U2 postponed
their two appearances in the city.

At the time, U2 lead singer Bono called the incident a “direct hit on music.” Bono pointed out at the time
that if you think about it, most of the victims were music fans.
“This is the first direct hit on music that we’ve had in this so-called War on Terror. And it’s very upsetting.”

As reported by Entertainment Weekly, at the time of the attacks U2 postponed its November 14 and 15
performances, promising to reschedule to “honor the commitment to their audience.” The performance on
November 14 was set to be filmed for an HBO special.

The Irish band now says they will be appearing in Paris on December 6 and 7. Reportedly the second date
is set to be filmed for HBO’s iNNOCENCE +eXPERIENCE LIVE IN PARIS special.
