Instructions

WRITING THEMES:
Prompt #1: Imagine that your school is preparing to receive an exchange
program student from Russia. His name is Igor Volkov and he is 14 years old.
The first step to welcome him to your school is writing him a letter, and you
have been selected to do this.
In your letter, you should friendly greet the boy and introduce yourself; explain
where you are from and some basic information about the city where you
live/study. Provide details about your country’s culture, customs and traditions,
share the aspects of your culture you think are the most important for Igor to
know before arriving here. You may also suggest things to do or places to visit
during his stay.
Express your enthusiasm for the exchange program and about meeting them.
Remember to use appropriate greetings, salutations, and a friendly tone
throughout the letter. Use paragraphs to organize your ideas and make your
letter easy to read.
Prompt #2: Write an essay explaining what your dream job would be, and
why. If salary didn’t matter, what would you feel happy working on? Discuss
why this particular path appeals to you. Is it related to something you are
already passionate about or something entirely new that you wish to explore?
Identify the characteristic and skills you already possess that would make you
a good fit for this profession. These could include traits like creativity,
problem-solving ability, leadership, or communication skills. How do these
qualities align with the demands of the job?
Do you need formal education to pursue this career? Discuss whether you
would need to attend college or graduate in a specific major.
Finally, share whether you personally know anyone who works in the field of
your dream job.
Remember to organize your arguments consistently and let the ideas flow!
