Let’s remember them. Group work Individual work Advantages Exchange between group members might lead you to think about things you might not have thought of and have ideas you might not have had if you were working by yourself. You will be the only person responsible for the entire presentation and you will not have to worry about your partners’ performance. Disadvantages The presentation might be somewhat inconsistent, especially if the group members did not meet before and have not agreed upon what each person has to do and in what order. It can be very tiring for one person to present the whole topic by him/herself. When it comes to prepare for the presentation, we also saw that there are some steps to be followed in both the group and the individual presentation. These are: Group work Individual work 1 – First meeting (to analyze the bibliographical list and decide on the chronogram) 1 – Individual work to analyze the bibliographical list and decide on the chronogram to read the texts and record the most important parts of each one to go deeper on the part that was assigned to you to test whatever equipment they are going to take to the presentation (if there’s any) and make the final adjustments 2 – Individual work (to read the texts and record the most important parts of each one) 3 – Second meeting (to discuss the texts and ask for clarification) 4 – Individual work (to go deeper on the part that was assigned to you) 5 – Third meeting (present the result of research to the other group members) 6 – Last meeting before the presentation (to test whatever equipment they are going to take to the presentation (if there’s any) and make the final adjustments) Both the group and the individual presentation must have a beginning, a development and an end in order to ensure that it is successful.
