Before beginning any presentation, it´s important to know some things about the audience you are addressing. According to Nóbrega (2009), ignoring the audience is the same as wasting an extremely rich aspect of oral production: the interchange between speaker and listener

Ending a presentation
 
After developing the theme of the presentation and when you feel you have accomplished your objectives, it’s polite to thank the audience for having attended it. You don’t need to announce the end of the presentation formally, just conclude the topic and end it politely.
