					´´At
the turn of the century, many advances in science were occurring due to
fundamental concepts that philosophers of science refer to as the
conception of complex phenomena in terms of basic parts or elements.
This conception of science was leading to many important discoveries
with important applications in areas such as the biological sciences in
the late 1800s.´´ (http://web.mst.edu/)
What is one of the differences between structuralism and post-structuralism?

Resposta:

Gabarito:
Structuralism may be seen as an anthropological movement associated
especially with Claude Lévi-Strauss that seeks to analyze social
relationships in terms of highly abstract relational structures often
expressed in a logical symbolism. It may also be seen as a method of
analysis (as of a literary text or a political system) that is related
to cultural anthropology and that focuses on recurring patterns of
thought and behavior. Structuralists look at the foundational structures
implicit in all productions of a culture, and undertake an analysis of
the many parts that create something, to get a better understanding of
the creation. Poststructuralists insist that no hierarchy of meanings
can ever be established and no solid underlying structural foundation
can ever be located. Post-structuralism is a modern philosophical school
of thought. Post-Structuralism cannot be reduced to a set of
theoretical assumptions or a school, since it represents a complex and
interdisciplinary thought movement.

					Weber´s
was the type of mind which was continually developing throughout his
intellectually productive life. His system of ´sociological theory´ was
not meant to stand alone. We dare say that his work may be conceived
rather as an introduction to the institutional foundations of the modern
 economic and social order.
For Weber, what is the difference between behavior and action?

						 	Weber´s
action theory would take into consideration the way someone was raised,
the family relationships, the human values while behavior is meant to
designate the independent significance of the human beings.

 	According
to Weber, behavior takes account of the attitude other people have in
relation to us and is thereby oriented in its course. Action is for him
unmotivated.

 	Weber
regarded action and behavior basically as synonyms, as one was a
consequence of the other. Action, in his opinion, would lead to
behavior.

 	Weber´s
behavior theory is associated with the institutionalization of
authority and corporate groups while the action theory deals with the
process of systematic development of modern theoretical social sciences.

						 	Behavior
is an automatic response that occurs with little thought, whereas
action is the result of a conscious process in which people give meaning
to their actions and the world around them.

Advertising plays an important role in the economic life of almost every market economy. Why is it so?
Because ...

the informative role of advertising products makes people learn how to save and avoid consumption.

consumption is bound up with a socialist economy based on the production of commodities.

so far we cannot find any evidence that advertising affects private consumption.

consumption is based on the instant gratification of needs.

given the level of maturity of economic activity, advertising sells certain products because they are old-fashioned.
