Weird Colorful Ripple Tutorial Hit "d" to reset the colors then start a new project with white as the background. Set the gradient tool to reflected gradient and draw the gradient in a random position. Draw a bunch more reflective gradients in random places on the canvas (at least 20), then add some radial gradients in a few places Hit ctrl-b and adjust the color balances so you get nice blue sort of like this Make one more radial gradient to turn a bit of the picture orange. This picture shows a good position for this orange. Make a copy of this layer. Go to filters->distort->zig-zag and set the amount to about 25% and the ridges to about 10. Set the style to out from center and press ok. Set the blend mode of the zig-zagged layer to difference. Merge the layers and press ctrl-shift-l to set auto levels and brighten the image. Create a new layer and go to filters->render->clouds. Use filter->pixelate->mosaic with cell size 15 and then use filter-> stylize->find edges to create a neat looking grid. Hit Ctrl-Shift-l to darken the lines. Almost there. Set the bleding mode of the grid layer to multiply and your finished. Try experimenting with different color combinations to see what you can come up with.
