OBJECT PRONOUNS
Os object pronouns possuem a função de complementar o verbo, substituindo algum objeto em uma frase, evitando a repetição. Eles servem como objeto direto ou indireto das orações e sempre aparecem após o verbo.  Veja o exemplo:
 
I bought shoes and gave them to my girlfriend. (them = the shoes – os sapatos)
