This picture illustrates a process that had (and still has) a dramatic impact on the postmodern world. Which process is that and what are some of the changes it brought to our lives?

Resposta: Globalization is the process which had and still has a dramatic impact on the postmodern world. Such process resulted in the emergence of multiculturalism. Consequently, our idenities are far more fluid these days. Additionaly, it its incrisingly more difficult to determine the culture of a particular individual. To conclude, it has not been easy to assimilitate a new culture since new cultures frequently come into being resulting from the mixture of different cultures in our globalized world at present.

Gabarito:
The process of globalization has had a dramatic effect on the world. The world appears a much smaller place due to global communications, world travel and tourism and the spread of ideas across the globe. This means that what we once thought was true is now exposed as simply one truth among many. The more contact we have with other peoples and once distant cultures the more we question the way we are. Space and time have changed ¿ we can contact people on the other side of the world in an instant via the phone, the internet or video-conferencing. We can travel to any where we wish and can experience and appreciate other cultures, art forms and music.
