	 1a Questão (Ref.: 841913)
	Pontos: 1,0  / 1,0
The concept of morpheme " the minimal unit of form and meaning " arises naturally in the analysis of every language. The concept of word is trickier. Words can be made up of several morphemes and may include several other words. It is easy to find cases where a particular sequence of elements might arguably be considered either a word or a phrase. So, what is a phrase made of?

Resposta: A phrase consists of either a word or a group of words which form a unit of language which has a particular meaning. Also, a phrase forms part of a sentence. In addition, the central element of a phrase is its head. Thus, if the noun is the head of the phrase, then we have a noun phrase, for instance, "The beautiful girl", in which the head is the noun "girl". There can also be verb phrases, in which the head is the verb, adjective phrases, having the adjective as head, prepositional phrases, with a preposition functioning as the head as well, and so on. A phrase differs from a sentence, once a sentence usually has a subject and a verb.

Gabarito:
A phrase is a group of words that make sense, but not complete sense. It is a group of related words.

	 2a Questão (Ref.: 841937)
	Pontos: 1,0  / 1,0
Most people know what an adjective is, but when it comes to describing an adjective phrase, they get confused. Some are mistaken and think that this type of phrase is a group of words that has an adjective in it. Although this may be true, this is not an effective phrase. This type of phrase is actually a group of words that serves to describe a noun in a sentence, thus functioning as an adjective. Adjective phrases modify nouns. They may be attributive (appearing before the noun) or predicative (appearing after a linking verb), but not all adjectives can be used in both positions. So, what is the adjective phrase in the sentence:
The very beautiful girl walked down the street.

Resposta: The adjective phrase in the sentence is "very beautiful".

Gabarito:
very beautiful.
