Business description: The company is a network of Dental Clinics operating under the same brand. It provides a complete range of dental services such as prosthetics, orthodontics, root channel, cavities, whitening, etc. The market: 40 million people in Brazil is missing at least one tooth. Up to 50% of the entire population may need some kind of orthodontic correction. The government does not provide the necessary public assistance for common dental health issues like cavity. On the other hand, Brazil has the largest dentist population in the world. It is more than 270,000 dentists, graduating from almost 200 Universities. The problem: Orthodontic treatments are made individually by each dentist. The dentists have a different technical backgrounds, different way to consume time during consultation and different level of experience. The service became too commoditized. How can a network of clinics, that uses the same brand, guarantee a standard of quality? How to give patients a timeframe that guarantees for how long of their treatments will last? Is it possible to give clients a superior costumer experience that could add value to company’s brand?
