Ex: One Apple, two apples, three apples. Ex: butter, meat not two butters, three meats. - Some ice cream = sorvete (tipo de pote). - A cake = um bolo inteiro. - Some cake = fatias de bolo. Grammar (a/an and some/any) ● Utilize a/an com substantivos contáveis no singular. Ex: We need an Apple / I eat a Tomato everyday / He ate an Orange yesterday. Logo: I waited for an hour. Ex: We eat some grapes every morning / They drink some milk every evening. Ex: We don’t need any potatoes / I didn’t eat any cheese yesterday. Do you need any sugar? / Does she eat any chips? / Do they drink any coffee? OBS: Quando se usa any com substantivos contáveis no singular, ele significa “qualquer”. Ex: She’s not just any actress, she’s the best (Ela não é uma atriz qualquer, ela é a melhor). Ex: Can I have some coffee? Would you like some biscuits? Can I have some cake?
