NEXT WEEKEND ? * * What can you preview for this ? * * COMPARISON When we relate things or people to others it’s commom to say that we are comparing them. Jane is tall and Martha is short. In this statement we have an implicit comparison and it could be more clearly demonstrated as: Jane is taller than Martha. or Martha is shorter than Jane. THIS CLASS * * We can also use comparison as the following: This book is more interesting than that one. Jane’s car is more comfortable than Martha’s. Up to this point of File 8A we are supposed to recognize these comparison ideas only. Their use and formation is the objet of our next class. * * Personality Adjectives Concept In English we have many words that express quality, particularity, sensibility and characteristics about people. For this reason, we call them PERSONALITY ADJECTIVES. They refer to people’s manners or attitudes. * * Examples: When a person thinks for a long time before doing something, we say that he or she is .
