From historical antecedents of the XVIII century, associated to recent theories (taking into consideration man
and culture development), discuss the concept of culture, highlighting new challenges.
Resposta: Culture is the way of life of a large group. Man elaborates, shares and spreads culture generation by
generation. Culture is the values, beliefs, norms, material objects and behavior that are part of people´s lives.
Culture can create order in society. With the whole phenomenon of globalization, that may alter time and space
in notions, drive out the social system and make possible the urgence of pluralization of social power center,
culture has changed from the past.

A youth subculture is a youth­based subculture with distinct styles, behaviors, and interests, which are often

Resposta: One example I can think of an up­to­date youth subculture is funk. Usually people who listen to this
kind of music, do not really fit in society. They have different life­styles, which differs from class to class.
Another example is punk subculture. They usually live in ghettos, being part of a smaller part of society.
Gabarito: Suggested answer: funk and the student ought to find a proper justification for his choice. A possible
one might be to mention that the ones who usually enjoy ´funk music´ may not necessarily ´fit in´in our
society.
