Simple PresentSimple Present
We use the simple present tense for facts and for routines.
Here is the verb "speak."
Notice the "s" at the end of the verb for he, she, it.

Look at this chart now.
Now, look again at he, she, it. In positive sentences, there is an "s." In the negative sentences and
questions, we use the helping verb, "does." There is the "s". Notice that it is not on the main verb.
When we ask questions like these, you can give a short answer. This is what they look like:
Look at the question and the answer. 
DO you speak English? Yes, I DO. No, I DON’T
See how it is the same word at the beginning of the question and then in the answer?

There is ALWAYS a subject and verb in English sentences.
I see you.

They see us.
Again, this is the structure of English sentences:
