I N T R O D U C T I O N Introduction is the first part of a report where it explains what the report is about, giving general knowledge and details about its content. (Merriam- Webster's Dictionary, 2021) The other key important factor in the writing of an introduction is the use of paragraphs. Paragraphs should either separated with a line break or having the first line intended, also included in keyway in which the individual part of writing can be communicated. There are different types of introduction: - Who commissioned the report - Why the report was commissioned - The scope of the report: what it will cover - Definitions of any terms - The methodology - A summary of findings and recommendations (Cottrell, 2013) 2 . M A I N B O D Y The body of the report is the main core of the discussion, where the argument of the topic is structured and delivered. It explains how and why it is done, giving conclusions and recommendations. It can include tables, graphs (Figure 1) and pictures, they all have to be referenced. Their role is: - To summarise key items - To provide data - Show numbers and statistics Figure 1: A table included in main body. Figure 1, 0414 Bar Chart for business report PowerPoint (2021). 2.1 . S U B - H E A D I N G The sub-heading is an additional headline or title that comes immediately after the main headline or title. A title given to one of the parts or divisions of a piece of writing. (Webster, 1828) There are different types of headings, they can be divided in four levels, they classified with A, B, C, D: (Figure 2) A ) Main heading: the title. B ) Section headings: in a slightly larger font than four levels. C ) Sub-Headings: may be in Italics or bold. D ) Other lesser headings: should not stand out clearly. S U B - S U B - H E A D I N G A sub-sub-heading are a low category of the sub-heading that explains a context further and play a huge role in capturing attention. Sub-sub- headings are smaller in size than the Sub-heading but larger than the text of your article. 3 . C O N C L U S I O N A N D R E C O M M E N D A T I O N Conclusion and recommendation are very important chapters, are the summary of a literature and combination of all facts that are written in the main body. The conclusion and the recommendation usually come at the end of a report. Yet, they can be found at the beginning of narrative or also in the middle. In this case, they are difficult to find in the text and could have lower efficacy. Commonly, a conclusion can be indicated by adverbs such as ‘therefore’, ‘so’, ‘hence’ or ‘thus’; or by the use of imperatives such as ‘must’, ‘should’ or ‘need to’. Occasionally, the conclusion and the recommendation can be placed somewhere in the text, inherent in the arguments and contexts. A text could embody more than one conclusion, these can be explicit or implicit conclusions. (Cottrell, 2013) 4 . R E F E R E N C E S The references and citations have to be used when we write academic texts, is necessary to demonstrate the source used in the writing in a correct way. (Bailey, 2011) Principal reasons to use references and citations: - To prevent plagiarism. - To make easy to find the source to others. - To inform the reader that the text write is based on appropriate findings, in that way gives more importance to the narrative. There are a variety of ways to write reference, such as Harvard system, Vancouver system and footnote system. Hence, it is important to use any system for document the sources and nature of the research and reinforce the argument and subjects of a text.
