SAP will proactively apply software updates and patches during the defined maintenance windows. 
In case a patch needs to be applied outside a maintenance window, SAP will notify Customer in 
advance.

1. SAP will email customers and communicate a date for the Test and Production upgrades
2. SAP will send an email notification approximately 3 weeks prior to the upgrade of the Test system
3. Test system will be upgraded within the contractual window per planned date
4. SAP will send an email notification that Test system has been upgraded
5. Testing period will run for 2 weeks following the upgrade of the Test system
6. Production system will be upgraded at the end of the testing period per planned communicated date
7. Production system will be upgraded within the contractual window per planned date
8. SAP will send an email notification that the Production system has been upgraded

2) Dev & Test → Prod
3) Dev → Test → Prod
SAP IBP customers use their systems for different purposes and therefore the 
upgrade order is different

Dev: Reflect Prod configuration; QA of 
new configuration; performance

Test: Initial Testing (new configuration,
