Billy was a five-year-old boy. He was an only child, so he used to play by himself a lot. His 
mom, Delilah, was used to listen to him play in the living room while she was at their home 
office working. 
One afternoon Billy was playing in the living but, he was very quiet. Too quiet, actually. Delilah 
went to check on him. She saw nothing suspicious or wrong. She went back to work as Billy 
went on playing by himself. Suddenly, Delilah heard the microwave beep in the kitchen. She got 
surprised. Billy couldn’t reach the microwave because of his height, let alone know how to use 
it. 
When she entered the kitchen, she saw Billy standing on a chair with a bowl of melted ice cream 
in his hands. She immediately asked him: 
- What are you doing, Billy? 
- I’m heating the ice cream, mama. 
- But why? She asked. 
- Because my throat hurts and you said ice cream is bad for my throat because it’s cold. 
Now, I can have ice cream, right?
