Ahead of schedule: 
(adiantado) 
It is very commonly used in both business and projects 
to mean that something is progressing quicker than 
planned. 
Behind schedule (atrasado) It refers to a failure to keep up with the plan. 
Knock on effect (efeito 
dominó) 
It is normally used when talking about problems or 
delays, when it has consequences on another part of 
the project. This phrase is normally followed by the 
preposition 'on'. 
Deadline (prazo, data de 
entrega) 
The latest time or date by which something should be 
completed.
