Respostas pessoais O filme Com amor, Van Gogh (Loving Vincent), de Dorota Kobiela e Hugh Welchman, narra a história de um homem que investiga a vida pessoal de Van Gogh na cidade francesa de Arles, um ano após a morte do artista. Feito com a técnica de pintura a óleo, como nos quadros de Van Gogh, a animação contou com uma equipe de 115 pintores para produzir cada um dos 65 mil quadros de filme (em inglês, movie frames) nesse recurso artístico.
