BAIC SERVICES TO URBAN POOR (BSUP) In coastal countries today an estimated half of the total populations live in coastal zones and migration from inland areas to the coast is increasing. · INTRODUCTION The Basic Services to the Urban Poor (BSUP) is a crucial initiative aimed at improving the living conditions of urban poor communities, with a special focus on marginalized groups like the fisher community.
