<p>Good afternoon teacher Eveling, today I, Jorge Sharif Cartagena Machado and my friends Jahir Fernando Soto Rivera and Farid Minchola are going to present the last task of week 18. An Interview</p><p>G: Hello Jahir and Farid, My name is Jorge Sharif welcome to the interview for the scholarship abroad, please can you introduce yourself in a few sentences?</p><p>C: Good afternoon Mr. Cartagena, My name is Farid Minchola, I am 18 years old, I am from Peru, I recently graduated from high school as the best student of the year and I hope to continue my studies at your university. And I would like to obtain a scholarship abroad.</p><p>H: Good afternoon, Mrs. Cartagena, my name is Jahir Fernando Soto Rivera, I am 20 years old and I am a student studying industrial engineering. I finished my studies as the best student in the entire school.</p><p>G: Well, first of all, why do you think you deserve this scholarship?</p><p>C: Growing up I learned that this is not easy. There are some achievements that I am proud of, but what I am most proud of is my progress in school. I've done pretty well in school and I'm trying to prepare myself for life. And I can do everything people want me to do.</p><p>H: When choosing to study industrial engineering, I set my goal to fight for a scholarship abroad, since that is my biggest dream and my grades at the university are the best.</p><p>G: What do you hope to learn in the program you have chosen? What countries have they traveled to?</p><p>C: I have chosen to study civil engineering but I am doing an interview to learn about digital marketing because that is going to be the future. And I didn't travel to any country.</p><p>C: I chose the industrial engineering career because I like the career, and I am studying a 3 language course. So far I have traveled to two countries which are Colombia and Canada.</p><p>G: If you haven't been abroad yet, where would you travel if you had the chance? and because?</p><p>C: I'm going to Canada because it's the best place to learn about the digital push I need, to learn more about my career, and to be someone everyone recognizes.</p><p>H: Since I have already been abroad, I would like to go to developed countries like Russia or Korea.</p><p>G: Who would support you financially during your studies?</p><p>C: My family members are people who worked hard to have their own company in the country and would sponsor my education and living expenses during my studies.</p><p>H: My parents and I, because I have a job I can cover my expenses and if I can't make a payment, my parents would support me.</p><p>G: Well, in that case I would like to ask you some additional questions. What is your definition of failure?</p><p>C: I define failure as the situation in which the expectations of the school or educators are not met.</p><p>H: I define failure as a learning experience for all people. Since we will not always be at the top and at any moment we can fall and failure is a way to overcome adversity.</p><p>G: How do you deal with deadlines or multiple tasks?</p><p>C: I make sure I have a positive outlook on the task at hand, then write a plan on how to execute it and meet the deadline. I understand the importance of deadlines.</p><p>H: Whenever I have a task or job I try to present it as clearly as possible, I really like responsibility.</p><p>G: But what happens if you can't complete the allotted time limit? Wouldn't you present the works? What would you do?</p><p>C: If I cannot meet the deadline, I will humbly ask for an extension.</p><p>H: If I cannot meet the assigned deadline, I would apologize and ask for an extension of time to be able to present my projects.</p><p>G: Okay, those are good answers. Where do you see yourself in 7 years? and because?</p><p>C: In 7 years I see myself as the manager of my own company, seeking to please people with my work and traveling abroad.</p><p>H: In 7 years I see myself as CEO of a technology company or working for the best companies in the world as Director of an entire executive staff.</p><p>G: In that case, do you have any questions for me?</p><p>C: What are my chances of getting a scholarship?</p><p>G: You are one of the best students at this university but over time, there are many people who want the scholarship.</p><p>H: How long would it take to get an answer about whether I got the scholarship?</p><p>G: Within 2 days at the latest you would have a response and we will contact you by email if you are chosen.</p><p>C: This interview is only necessary to obtain a scholarship abroad or do I need to send an essay where I can explain in more detail all the achievements achieved throughout my short life.</p><p>G: This interview is only necessary, if that is all, thank you very much for your participation and we will inform you via email if you are chosen or not.</p><p>C: thank you.</p><p>H: Thank you.</p><p>Buenas tardes maestra Eveling, hoy yo, Jorge Sharif Cartagena Machado y mis amigos Jahir Fernando Soto Rivera y Farid Minchola vamos a presentar la última tarea de la semana 18. Una Entrevista</p><p>G: Hola Jahir y Farid, Mi nombre es Jorge Sharif bienvenidos a la entrevista para la beca en el extranjero, por favor, ¿pueden presentarse en unas pocas frases?</p><p>C: Buenas tardes señor Cartagena, Mi nombre es Farid Minchola, tengo 18 años, soy de Perú, recién egresado de la secundaria como el mejor estudiante del año y espero continuar mis estudios en su universidad. Y me gustaría obtener una beca en el extranjero.</p><p>H: Buenas tardes señora Cartagena, mi nombre es Jahir Fernando Soto Rivera, tengo 20 años y sou estudiante de la carrera de ingenieria industrial. Termine mis estudios como el mejor estudiante de todo el colegio.</p><p>G: Bueno, primero que nada ¿Por qué creen que merecen esta beca?</p><p>C: Al crecer aprendí que esto no es fácil. Hay algunos logros de los que estoy orgulloso, pero lo que más me enorgullece es mi progreso en la escuela. Me ha ido bastante bien en la escuela y estoy tratando de prepararme para la vida. Y puedo hacer todo lo que la gente quiere que haga.</p><p>H: Al elegir estudiar la carrera de ingenieria industrial, me platié como meta luchar por una beca en el extranjera, ya que ese es mi mayor sueño y mis notas en la universidad son las mejores.</p><p>G: ¿Qué esperan aprender en el programa que han elegido? ¿A qué países han viajado?</p><p>C: He elegido estudiar ingeniería civil pero estoy haciendo una entrevista para aprender sobre marketing digital porque ese va a ser el futuro. Y no viajé a ningún país.</p><p>C: Yo eleji la carrera de ingeniería industrial debido a que me gusta la carrera, y estoy estudiando un curso de 3 idiomas. Hasta ahora he viajo a dos paises los cuales son Colombia y Canada.</p><p>G: Si aún no has estado en el extranjero, ¿adónde viajarías si tuvieras la oportunidad? ¿y por qué?</p><p>C: Voy a Canadá porque es el mejor lugar para aprender sobre el impulso digital que necesito, para aprender más sobre mi carrera y para ser alguien que todos reconozcan.</p><p>H: En vista de que ya estuve en el extranjero, a mi me gustaría ir a paises desarrollados como Rusia o Corea.</p><p>G: ¿Quién te apoyaría económicamente durante tus estudios?</p><p>C: Mis familiares, son personas que trabajaron duro para tener su propia empresa en el país y patrocinarían mis gastos de educación y manutención durante mis estudios.</p><p>H: Mis padres y yo, debido a que tengo un trabajo puedo solventar mis gastos y en caso no pueda cumplir con un pago, mis padres me apoyarian.</p><p>G: Bien, en ese caso me gustaría hacerles algunas preguntas adicionales. ¿Cuál es tu definición de fracaso?</p><p>C: Defino el fracaso como la situación en la que no se cumplen las expectativas de la escuela o de los educadores.</p><p>H: Defino el fracaso, como un aprendizaje para todas las personas. Ya que no siempre estaremos en la cima y en cualquier momento podemos caer y el fracaso es una forma de superarnos ante las adversidades.</p><p>G: ¿Cómo manejas los plazos o las múltiples tareas?</p><p>C: Me aseguro de tener una perspectiva positiva de la tarea en cuestión, luego redacto un plan sobre cómo ejecutarla y cumplir con el plazo. Entiendo la importancia de los plazos.</p><p>H: Siempre que tengo alguna tarea o trabajo trato de presentarlo lo más nates posible, me gusta mucho la responsabilidad.</p><p>G: ¿Pero qué pasa si no puedes completar</p><p>el límite de tiempo asignado? ¿No presentarías las obras? ¿Qué harías?</p><p>C: Si no puedo cumplir con el plazo, humildemente pediré una extensión.</p><p>H: Si no puedo cumplir con el plazo asignado, pediría disculpas y una extención de tiempo para poder presentar mis proyectos.</p><p>G: Está bien, esas son buenas respuestas. ¿Dónde te ves dentro de 7 años? ¿y por qué?</p><p>C: En 7 años me veo como el gerente de mi propia empresa, buscando agradarles a las personas con mi trabajo y desplazarme hasta el extranjero.</p><p>H: Dentro de 7 años me veo como CEO de una empresa tecnológica o trabajando para las mejores empresas del mundo como Director de toda una plantilla ejecutiva.</p><p>G: En ese caso, ¿tienes alguna pregunta para mí?</p><p>C: ¿Cuáles son mis posibilidades de obtener una beca?</p><p>G: Eres uno de los mejores estudiantes de esta universidad pero todo con el tiempo, hay mucha gente que quiere la beca.</p><p>H: ¿En cuanto tiempo obtendria una respuesta sobre si obtuve la beca?</p><p>G: A más tardar en 2 días tendría una respuesta y lo contactaremos por el correo electronico si es el elegido.</p><p>C: Sólo es necesaria esta entrevista para obtener una beca en el extranjero o necesito enviar un ensayo donde pueda explicar con más detalle todos los logros alcanzados a lo largo de mi corta vida.</p><p>G: Esta entrevista solo es necesaria, si eso es todo muchas gracias por tu participación y les informaremos vía email si eres elegido o no.</p><p>C: gracias.</p><p>H: Gracias.</p>
