Neste exercício, será calculado o seguinte limite:
\(\Longrightarrow \lim_{h \to -4} { \sqrt{2(h^2-8)} + h \over h+4}\)
Pode realizar a seguinte manipulação matemática:
\(\Longrightarrow \lim_{h \to -4} { \sqrt{2(h^2-8)} + h \over h+4} \cdot { \sqrt{2(h^2-8)} - h \over \sqrt{2(h^2-8)} - h}\)
Sabe-se que \((a+b)(a-b)=a^2-b^2\). Sendo \(a = \sqrt{2(h^2-8)}\) e \(b=h\), o limite fica da seguinte forma:
\(\Longrightarrow \lim_{h \to -4} { \Big (\sqrt{2(h^2-8)} \Big )^2 - h^2 \over (h+4)(\sqrt{2(h^2-8)} - h)}\)
\(\Longrightarrow \lim_{h \to -4} { 2(h^2-8) - h^2 \over (h+4)(\sqrt{2(h^2-8)} - h)}\)
\(\Longrightarrow \lim_{h \to -4} { 2h^2-16 - h^2 \over (h+4)(\sqrt{2(h^2-8)} - h)}\)
\(\Longrightarrow \lim_{h \to -4} { h^2-4^2 \over (h+4)(\sqrt{2(h^2-8)} - h)}\)
Sabe-se que \(a^2-b^2=(a+b)(a-b)\). Sendo \(a=h\) e \(b=4\), o limite fica da seguinte forma:
\(\Longrightarrow \lim_{h \to -4} { (h+4)(h-4) \over (h+4)(\sqrt{2(h^2-8)} - h)}\)
\(\Longrightarrow \lim_{h \to -4} {h-4 \over \sqrt{2(h^2-8)} - h}\)
Substituindo o valor do limite, o resultado é:
\(\Longrightarrow \lim_{h \to -4} { \sqrt{2(h^2-8)} + h \over h+4} = \lim_{h \to -4} {h-4 \over \sqrt{2(h^2-8)} - h}\)
\(= {-4-4 \over \sqrt{2((-4)^2-8)} - (-4)}\)
\(= {-8 \over \sqrt{2(16-8)} +4}\)
\(= {-8 \over \sqrt{16} +4}\)
\(= {-8 \over 4 +4}\)
\(\Longrightarrow \fbox {$ \lim_{h \to -4} { \sqrt{2(h^2-8)} + h \over h+4} =-1 $}\)
