Vegetables should be boiled in two waters, removing the first when it begins to boil.
When consumed raw, vegetables should be soaked for 4 to 8 hours.
Do not use the water used to cook the vegetables.
Potatoes should be peeled a little thick and soaked overnight, already chopped. Do not use the same water to cook them.
Legumes should also be soaked overnight, and the water should not be used for cooking.
Canned tomato sauce can be used to season a dish, but not excessively.
The patient should not consume salt, but can use aromatic herbs in moderation. It is not recommended to use broth tablets or pharmacy salt.
Carbonated drinks (sodas) are not recommended.
Bread is recommended without salt and preferably not whole grain.
If the patient is thirsty, they can suck on ice cubes (do not swallow), chew mint gum, or brush their teeth with menthol-flavored toothpaste.
