What is the recommended enteral feeding for premature infants with a weight of less than 1500g?
Premature infants with a weight of less than 1500g should receive enteral feeding during the first 24 hours of life, if their clinical condition allows it, and complementary parenteral nutrition to ensure all their requirements. Enteral feeding should be based on breast milk or donated breast milk, taking into account their interindividual variations. If not available, a premature formula such as Alprem® 14.4% should be administered. The recommended caloric intake on the first day of life is 45-55 kcal/kg/day.
