Talk to a classmate. Do you know what each item on the poster 
means? Have you heard any stories of any of those types of 
violence in our country recently?

2. The girl in the picture is Memory Banda. She is a young girl from 
the African country Malawi and she is a leader for the girls’ rights 
around the world. You are about to listen to part of a talk given by 
her. Talk to a classmate. What issue do you think she will talk about?

1. Verifi que a compreensão dos estu-
dantes sobre os tipos de violência lis-
tados na imagem. Pergunte se leram 
ou ouviram histórias recentes sobre o 
assunto no Brasil. Ao fi nal da atividade, 
escolha alguns estudantes para que 
relatem algo discutido com os cole-
gas. Por ser uma questão delicada, su-
gere-se não perguntar para a turma se 
alguém da família (ou mesmo as pró-
prias estudantes) já sofreu algum tipo 
de violência. Recomenda-se, porém, 
caso alguém deseje conversar sobre o 
assunto, que busque sua ajuda ou a de 
um psicólogo ou orientador pedagógi-
co da escola após o término da aula.

2. Peça aos estudantes que imaginem 
possíveis temas para a palestra de 
Memory Banda, visto que ela é consi-
derada líder dos direitos das meninas/
mulheres ao redor do mundo. Após 
alguns minutos, escolha alguns estu-
dantes para relatar as ideias debatidas 
com os colegas. Escreva no quadro 
as ideias mencionadas por eles. Diga 
que eles vão ouvir o áudio e peça que 
verifi quem se alguma das ideias no 
quadro é o assunto tratado.
