What are the guidelines for thrombolytic treatment in acute myocardial infarction?
The benefit of early thrombolytic treatment (before 12 hours of symptom onset) is well studied and has shown a reduction of 18% in mortality. Trombolytics increase the risk of bleeding, including hemorrhagic stroke, by 1%. Thrombolysis should only be performed in patients with STEMI who cannot be transferred for primary PCI within 120 minutes. The preferred agents are fibrin-specific agents (tPA, reteplase, anistreplase, tenecteplase) over non-fibrin-specific agents (streptokinase). Thrombolysis should never be applied in patients with NSTEMI or unstable angina. a) I, II, III, IV, and V are correct. b) I, II, III, and IV are correct. c) II, III, IV, and V are correct. d) I, III, IV, and V are correct.
