Advances in technology improve the quality of life for all people by 
developing new medicinal methods and new solutions to environmental 
problems. Children, for example, with guaranteed flu shots and cleaner 
oceans and cities, will lead healthier lives. Young people, with safe 
driverless cars, for example, will be able to enjoy the fruits of the IA. And 
the elderly, with new and better treatments against diseases such as 
Alzheimer's, will have a greater well-being. 
 
2. Considering the challenges presented in the text, which ones would have 
a bigger social impact for society – future generations, adults and the 
elderly? Justify your answer. 
The correct incorporation of AI, because this would generate new types 
of jobs, new medical treatments and new ways of living, such as safer 
cars, more comfort with smart homes, different communication systems, 
other leisure schedules, etc. 
 
3. Are there any of these solutions already in progress nowadays? If so, 
describe some of them.

oceans by acoustic waves or cleaning of other substances by digesting

create. How can we solve them? 
Unemployment generated from the substitution of human labor by 
mechanized labor and social inequality aggravated by technological

government investment in these sectors, encouraging new jobs for

identifying the guilty one even in disguise. You can also keep more 
security against accidents and fires by reacting quickly to them. Also, in 
cases of power outages, you can have technology that works even then. 
 
7. How does the use of technology affect your life, positively or negatively? 
It affects positively by facilitating the means of communication with 
friends and family, by providing a better quality of study, by having new 
forms of leisure such as music and movies, by innovating ways of buying 
products, etc. In a negative way, they can be toxic by establishing 
standards of beauty and life, helping to spread fake news and the 
immediacy of desires, etc. 
 
8. What could you do in your family or community to guarantee a sustainable 
use of technology? 
We should encourage balanced use, no excessive use when accessing 
sad news or using instagram or facebook for too long, avoid damaging 
someone with the use of these technologies, avoid inappropriate waste 
of devices that are no longer used, preferably by recycling or reusing the 
materials, etc.
