Festival visitors can experience a diverse events programme, an exclusive landscape design project, guided walks, a garden celebrity speaker series and more! · Taranaki grows more than 1,000 species of rhododendrons. The annual festival in late October and early November was sparked by them, but has morphed into a large- scale garden 'spectacular', with up to eighty gardens in the district being open for viewing.
