Analyze and answer the questions based on the document “Social Media for Internationalization”
Answer the following questions: 
1. What is the role of social media in internationalization?
· One of the most important roles of social media in internationalization is that it allows companies to improve their presence in the international market and reach potential customers around the world.
· The costs associated with international marketing campaigns are lower than those traditionally used.
· It allows new forms of segmentation and customer targeting.
2. What is the main problem companies have when using social media for internationalization?
· One of the main problems with the use of social media is the disparity that exists between national privacy and data security legislation. This means that companies must make more efforts to investigate whether and how the available consumption data can be used.
· Being at an early stage in understanding how companies can take advantage of social networks to accelerate their internationalization, it is very difficult to formulate policy recommendations.
3. What is the role of social media?

· The main problem detected in the use of social networks for internationalization is the issue of the laws of the countries regarding privacy and data security. Therefore, companies should put more efforts into investigating whether they can use the consumption data that is available and how they could do it.
· As it is an early stage of understanding the impact of social networks on internationalization, no political recommendations can be given.
· Finally, there is an impediment by some governments on the use of certain social networks in some countries.
5. How could you apply social media to internationalize the company you have created in groups? Explain and give examples.
