I’M GOING TO THE GYM AGAIN – HANDS ON

estrutura:
 Áudio 1
I’m going to the gym again!

 verb TO BE verb+ING complemento

Continuous (to be + verb + ING) para falarmos sobre novidades e ações temporárias.
I’m living in Recife now. (news) / Estou morando em Recife agora.
I’m taking the bus to work this week. (temporary)/ Estou indo trabalhar de ônibus
esta semana.
I’m looking for a new job.

Veja a diferença:
I go to the gym three times a week. = routine
I’m going to the gym three times a week. = something new or temporary
I work in a bank. = state
I’m working in a multinational company. = something new

I’M GOING TO THE GYM AGAIN – HANDS ON
Vamos lembrar dos outros usos do Present Continuous:
1) We’re going to the beach right now. = action in progress at the moment
2) It’s raining a lot this week. / I’m doing an online course. = action in
progress, not exactly at the moment
3) I’m seeing the dentist on Friday. = arrangements* (compromissos)

temporárias, usamos o “verb to be” em sua respectiva forma na negativa “am not”, “is not”
ou “are not”:
I don’t work there anymore. = state
I’m not working there anymore. = news
I’m not working this week. = temporary; actions in progress
Elmer doesn’t wake up early. = fact
Carol doesn’t exercise every day. = routine
Carol isn’t going to work by car this week. = temporary
I’m not teaching today because I’m sick. = temporary; new

usamos o “verb to be” (“am”, “is” ou “are”) antes dos sujeitos:
Do you study a lot? = routine
Does he like his job? = state
Are you studying a lot? = temporary
Is she dating anyone? = action in progress
