I need you to bring me a completed internship project in practical theology in the area of Diaconia,
to be conducted in partnership with a church. Please provide some theme ideas in this area,
justification, general and specific objectives, theoretical foundation with direct and indirect citations
properly referenced, methodology, and an implementation schedule for 25 hours in the field of
internship, where 15 hours will be for observation and 10 hours will be for the practical application
of the project in question. Include all references according to ABNT.
**PART I: RESEARCH**
1.1 **DELIMITATION OF THE THEME: AREA OF CONCENTRATION AND JUSTIFICATION**
In this section, you, the student, will state an area of concentration and justify your choice. By
choosing an area of concentration, you will select a field or branch of knowledge or activity because,
according to Borges-Andrade (2003, p. 165), an area of concentration "should group actions and
make them converge towards a center to [...] make a certain domain of knowledge more active."
Additionally, when choosing the area of concentration, you need to define and delimit a theme, that
is, you should establish boundaries by specifically presenting your study interest.
Here is an example of delimitation:
Area of concentration: Practical Theology.
Theme: Ministry with children in the local church.
Note that, from the area of concentration (Practical Theology), the decision was made to study the
ministry with children in the local church. The readings listed on the subject should allow for as
comprehensive a study of the theme as possible.
1.2 **OBJECTIVES**
The objective is what you intend to know about the topic at the end of each internship. It outlines the
research goal. For example, concerning the previously defined theme (the ministry with children in
the local church), we could have the following objectives:
- Identify the types of ministries that can be developed.
- Develop mechanisms to better serve the ministry with children.
- Verify the effectiveness of the types of ministries with children.
Be aware that, when defining your objectives, you should consider the practical activities carried out
in each internship, which will serve as support to achieve these objectives.
1.3 **THEORETICAL FRAMEWORK**
A theoretical foundation supports and endorses the chosen area of concentration. Let us see: what is
a theory? According to the dictionary, it consists of basic and elementary principles of an art or
science. The theoretical framework relates to the most relevant literature on a particular subject,
meaning it is the moment to seek support to understand a field of knowledge and to make it suitable
for the work's context. It's important to know how relevant concepts and definitions in the field have
been addressed in previous studies.
The theoretical foundation for the area of concentration will be developed progressively, one step at
each internship. Gradually, concepts are refined for a dense theoretical basis for writing the
Graduation Project (TG).
**PART II: INTERNSHIP PROCEDURES**
2.1 **METHODOLOGY**
In the internship methodology, you, the academic, will present how the internship activities will be
conducted at the Granting Institution. Start by mentioning the location where the internship will
take place, using data collected and recorded in the Observation Guide. Explain the form of
intervention based on the practical activities of each internship: readings (20 hours/class), project
development (30 hours/class), application (teaching) (20 hours/class), and report (paper) (30
hours/class).
2.2 **SCHEDULE**
To accomplish internship activities sequentially and without rush, it is essential to organize your
time. After discussing with the supervisor, arrange your visits to the internship site according to the
example below:
