Lesson Plan -Teacher: Ana Kécia -Lesson Topic: Brazil’s President Assails His Accuser as Corruption Scandal Intensifies. -Overview: Duration: 50 minutes class Students: 3rd grade of high school – EJA -Lesson Aims: To teach students how to use the present, past and future tenses in their affirmative form by English vocabulary about the causes of this fact in the country and its causes in society. - Teaching method: Interactive class - Material/resources: Whiteboard, pilot, eraser, virtual newspaper, pen and pencil. -Assessment: Activity Procedure Time Warm up Stimulate students' previous knowledge asking about the subject. 3 minutes Brain storm Write (in English) on the board the words from the students. 3 minutes Text comprehension Give students a part of a news from a virtual newspaper and ask them to underline the words they already know from it. 2 minutes Text comprehension 4. To build the comprehension about the text with the students from the words they underlined. 5 minutes Discussion 5. Ask students what they think about the theme and their opinions in order to create a discussion. 5 minutes Genre knowledge 6. Ask students if they know what kind of genre a news is and its characteristics from the one used before to the discussion. 3 minutes Genre knowledge 7.
