Startup Guide: Safety Integrated 
A. HW-Config The Profisafe modules have to be configured in HW-Config. The address switches 
on 
 the modules have to be set consistently with the HW Config settings. 
 The Profibus LED`s should change to “green“. 
 In the drive to corresponding telegram 116 (with Option “SI Motion Monitoring”) 
 has to be selected. (Default: Start of IO-Addresses with 6700) 
 
 Check of the IO Addresses MD10393 
 
B. Profisafe Peripherals Configure Profisafe Peripherals for SPL MD 10385 to MD 10389 
 
C. Option Enable SI-Options (Number of Axes): MD 19120 
 Select SI Version (Basic/Comfort) MD 19122 
 
D. ProgEvent To be able to use ProgEvent for SPL Start, 
 we have to set Bit 3 in ProgEvent Mask MD20108 Bit3= 1 
 
E. MD for ASUP Ignore Stop reasons for ASUP MD 11602 = 7 
 Start Priority for 'ASUP_START_MASK active‘ MD 11604 = 1 
 
F. NCK-SPL Program ASUP for NCK-SPL CST.DIR\SAFE.SPF 
 Name and Path are mandatory 
 Start SAFE.SPF with power on via ProgEvent 
 
G. PLC-SPL Program PLC_SPL with the SGE/SGA in: DB31 ... DBW 22/ 32/108/110 
 Test KDV Test of NCK-SPL and PLC_SPL; Diagnostics: DB18 
 Reset Both Programs have to be synchronous. 
No error by CDC of System variables OUTSI…: No Alarm 27090 or 27254 
 
Hints : The Copy / Confirm Function is to be found in 
BB [Startup] [NC] [Safety Integrated] 
If Safety Integrated is active, we have always to use the combined 
(Drive + NCK) Reset. 
 
H. Safety IBN Modus In order to be able to change Safety drive parameters, we have to set 
p0010 to Safety commissioning=95. 
After finishing the Safety startup the Parameter has to be reset again : p10 = 0. 
This is supported in the following way: 
Via BB [Startup] [NC] [Safety Integrated] [Activate drive IBN] 
all drives have set their p0010=95; if needed, also the Profisafe address 
is assigned. Correspondingly, [Deactivate drive IBN] resets p0010.. 
 
I. Function enable Axis specific Function enable for SI: MD 36901 / p9501 
Activate SI and “External Stops” (=SPL) : Bit 0 and Bit 6 have to be set
 
The Bit has to be set for all SI axes! 
 It is recommended, to enable SI and commission it axis after axis! 
 
J. Profisafe-address In the MoMo Parameter p9810 (of the Servo) defines the Profisafe address (see H). 
The address is copied to MD36907 with a power on (NCK + Drive) = SK: Reset. 
 Recommended Address: according to MD 30110 / 36906 = Module-No.: 
 P9810 / MD 36907 = ModulNo. + 300. 
 
K. Encoder data Set SI data for the NCK monitoring channel MD 36911 .. MD 36925 
 And the Drive monitoring channel p9502 .. p9526

L. Deselect Stop A Assign an OUTSI-Variable for Deselect Stop A MD 36977[0] 
(necessary for all Safety Axes) 
 
M. SGE/SGA-MD SGE/SGA-Machine data MD 36970 ... MD 36979 
assign SPL System variables MD 36980 ... MD 36990 
 The signals have to be supplied by the PLC-SPL 
 Programming accordingly 
 Checking is possible via Service SI -> SGE / SGA 
 
N. Monitorings Parameterize monitorings (SBH, SG,…) MD 36930 … MD36964 
 According to the specifications of the machine manufacturer 
 
O. Copy /Confirm SI data After a Change in SI Data (Axis) we have to do the following: 
 - Copy SI data, Reset 
 After this, the Checksums in MD36998[0].. and p9728[0].. have changed. 
 The Change of data has to be confirmed with 
 - Confirm SI data; Reset 
 This copies the checksums into MD36999[0].. and p9729[0].. . 
 The Reset is necessary to acknowledge the Alarm “..Checksum error” 
 If NX10 / NX15 are used, always switch off/on completely (instead of Reset)! 
 
- Note The Checksum adjustment (SET/ACTUAL) has to be done in all checksums. 
 Even if no SI CU / SI MoMo Function is activated explicitly, internally at least 
 the Pulse cancellation Functions (CU/MoMo) are always used, therefore 
 also their checksums (r9798/p9799 and r9898/p9899) have to be synchronized. 
 
P. Check actual values BB [Diagnosis] [Service displays] [Service SI]: 
Check the actual values: Synchronism: Actual value NCK /Drive 
Axes may have to move mechanically. 
Correct Encoder data MD 36925… 
 
Q. SPL Protection Parameterize End of startup in NCK: MD11500 [0,1] 
 and set in the PLC: DB18.DBX36.0 = 1 
 
R. Acceptance test Can be done using SinuCom NC V 7.5 Diagnosis / SI Acceptance test 
 
- Tip If Error 27112 “CRC Error” occurs, check p0430: Bit 19 = 1 
 (Bit 19- “SI Actual value evaluation” must be set) 
 In order to be able to change p430, p10 has to be set to: 
 p0010 = 4
