In case of communication problems with the DCS550 or DCS800 after the installation of DWL the communication needs to be set up
In DWL choose Communication and then Communication Settings…

Set up the communication according to pop-up window Comm Settings and choose the used COM-port
In case of connecting another type of drives (e.g. DCS 400) choose Auto-Mode
