From project inception to installation and after-sales service, FMC Energy Systems provides single-source responsibility for your complete project. 1 Manifold Systems FMC Energy Systems is an integrated supplier of turnkey manifold systems for the oil and gas industry. By combining system engi- neering, project management, a unique design, and the global presence of a major oil services company, FMC Energy Systems is able to offer signi- ficant cost reductions to operators working in demanding environments. These benefits are especially true for offshore and floating production projects where weight, space, and offshore hookup play important roles in overall costs. A major operator recently estimated there is a $7-10 savings in capital cost for every pound reduction in offshore weight. Offshore and ship- yard hookups can also be expensive when the manifolds remain in the critical path for installation and pres- sure test. The FMC Energy Systems offering addresses these and other logistics issues with an innovative design that reduces manifold system weight and space up to 60%. By designing skid and deck-based systems, FMC Energy Systems eliminates the need for pressure testing and welding at site, reducing installation times and sched- ule risk. The “Heart” of the System FMC Energy Systems manufac- tures a full line of compact ball, check, and diverter valves that are unsur- passed in ease of operation, reliability, and maintenance. These products are field proven in critical services up to 10,000 psi and exotic trims. All of this capability is combined in a compact, lightweight design that achieves weight savings of up to 60% versus conven- tional valves. The complete range of FMC Energy Systems’ products are manufactured in ISO-9001 certified facilities with headquarters in the United States. Building Block Design FMC Energy Systems’ exclusive building block design eliminates the need for welding of manifold compo- nents. The system utilizes integral tees, crosses, and spools in combina- tion with compact manifold compo- nents to reduce problems caused by alignment. The building block design also allows future system capabilities to be added at site with minimal disruption to production. Project Management At FMC Energy Systems, every system begins with the assignment of a project management team. The team has the turnkey responsibility for supplying the full scope of the system from the engineering design through the installation service. The FMC Energy Systems project management team is also responsible for managing all interfaces between the manifold and associated equip- ment. Scope may include instrumenta- tion, safety, and fire systems as well as interconnect piping. A single point contact allows the customer to reduce the interface risk associated with dealing with several suppliers. FMC Energy Systems’ project management and reporting proce- dures have been developed with the needs of customers and certification authorities in mind. System Engineering The earlier FMC Energy Systems’ engineering team is involved in your project, the greater the opportunity for overall project cost reduction. Using supplied piping and instrumentation diagrams, FMC Energy Systems engineers will design a cost-effective solution to your manifolding needs. This effort is often done with FMC Energy Systems’ engineers working within the customers project team. Weight, space, interface, and installa- tion problems can be identified and addressed early in a project allowing for optimized design of the structure and reduced project cost. FMC Energy Systems’ engineering capabilities include structural, piping, electrical, and instrumentation design.
