O que são Superlativos?
Os superlativos expressam qualidades num grau muito elevado ou no grau máximo.
Os Superlativos podem ser de 2 graus diferentes:
Inferioridade: 
Superioridade: 
	Comparativos Inferioridade	Superlativos de Inferioridade
	less + adjetivo + than	the least + adjetivo
	menos caro que	o menos caro
Of the three rings, this one was the least expensive.
Dos três anéis, este aqui foi o menos caro.
This exercise was the least difficult of all.
Este exercício foi o menos difícil de todos.
De olho na Regra: Para formar o comparativo de superioridade e o superlativo de superioridade, observamos o número de sílabas do Adjetivo.

De olho na regra: Quando um Adjetivo Monossilábico termina com uma consoante única, precedida de uma só vogal, a consoante final é duplicada antes de se acrescentar -er ou -est.

	thin - magro/fino	thinner - mais magro	the thinnest - o mais magro
Exemplos: 
Jack is fatter than Paul - Jack é mais gordo que Paul.
Today is hotter than yesterday - Hoje está mais quente que ontem.
Ruth´s house is bigger than Peter´s house. - A casa da Rute é maior que a do Peter.
Of the three boys, Jack is the fattest. - Dos três meninos, Jack é o mais gordo.
Yesterday was the hottest day of the year. - Ontem foi o dia mais quente do ano.
Jane´s house is the biggest of the street. - A casa da Jane é a maior da rua.
De olho na regra: Adjetivos dissílabos (duas sílabas), terminados em -y.
Troca-se o -y por i e acrescenta-se -er. (Comparativo) e acrescenta-se -est (Superlativo).

De olho na regra: Adjetivos com duas sílabas ou mais), NÃO terminados em -y.
