Number the sections with Roman numerals and the subsections with letters.
Do not number 'ACKNOWLEDGMENTS' or 'REFERENCES'.
Figures should be labeled as 'Fig. 1', even at the beginning of a sentence.
Equations should be numbered on the right margin and cited as '(1)' instead of 'Eq. (1)' or 'equation (1)', except at the beginning of a sentence.
References should be numbered consecutively and cited between brackets.
