What is the relief like in the State of Yucatan and Campeche?
The state surface is part of the Yucatan Peninsula province. Most of the territory is formed by a plain that was formed as a result of the appearance of a marine platform composed of calcareous rock (which contains lime) and where cenotes have formed.

O relevo do Estado de Yucatán e Campeche é predominantemente plano. A maior parte do território é formada por uma planície que se formou como resultado do surgimento de uma plataforma marinha composta por rochas calcárias (que contêm calcário) e onde se formaram cenotes. Nas regiões oeste, sudeste e norte, existem planícies que sofrem inundação com certa frequência, áreas pantanosas e formação de rios, como El Viento, El Vapor e Pom, entre outros.
