A atividade do ecoturismo na reserva da biosfera Los Tuxtlas, em Veracruz, consiste em oferecer turismo com infraestrutura básica, como cabanas, salas de jantar, banheiros secos, plantas de tratamento de água para regulação, torres de observação de aves, trilhas e caiaque. Os beneficiários dessa atividade são os quatro ejidos com 150 pessoas, que participam da Rede de Ecoturismo Comunitário de Los Tuxtlas.
