What are the objectives of the second practical work of the Anatomy and Histology course?
To know the morphological characteristics of the different types of connective tissue.
To identify the different types of connective tissue in the histological preparations of the course.
To know the morphology at MOCC, the ultrastructure, and the functions of the resident and migratory cells and the components of the extracellular matrix.
To relate the classification criteria of tissues and explain the differential characteristics of their different types: embryonic, loose, dense (regular and irregular), and specialized (bone, cartilaginous, adipose, lymphoid, and blood).
To know the histological differential characteristics between the three types of muscles: smooth, skeletal striated, and cardiac striated both optically and electronically.
To recognize them in the histological preparations differentiating them from the other basic tissues already observed.
To know the organization of skeletal striated muscle and define muscle fascicles, muscle fibers, myofibrils, and myofilaments.
To differentiate the concept of fiber in connective tissue and muscle.
To define sarcomere and understand the modifications experienced during contraction.
To know the main biochemical phenomena that lead to the contraction of skeletal striated muscle and the general characteristics of the mechanism of muscle contraction.
To understand the similarities and differences with the contraction of smooth muscle.
To know the different types of skeletal fibers based on their morphological, tintorial, and biochemical characteristics.

The objectives of the second practical work of the Anatomy and Histology course are: 1. To know the morphological characteristics of the different types of connective tissue. 2. To identify the different types of connective tissue in the histological preparations of the course. 3. To know the morphology, ultrastructure, and functions of the resident and migratory cells and the components of the extracellular matrix. 4. To relate the classification criteria of tissues and explain the differential characteristics of their different types: embryonic, loose, dense (regular and irregular), and specialized (bone, cartilaginous, adipose, lymphoid, and blood). 5. To know the histological differential characteristics between the three types of muscles: smooth, skeletal striated, and cardiac striated both optically and electronically. 6. To recognize them in the histological preparations, differentiating them from the other basic tissues already observed. 7. To know the organization of skeletal striated muscle and define muscle fascicles, muscle fibers, myofibrils, and myofilaments. 8. To differentiate the concept of fiber in connective tissue and muscle. 9. To define sarcomere and understand the modifications experienced during contraction. 10. To know the main biochemical phenomena that lead to the contraction of skeletal striated muscle and the general characteristics of the mechanism of muscle contraction. 11. To understand the similarities and differences with the contraction of smooth muscle. 12. To know the different types of skeletal fibers based on their morphological, tintorial, and biochemical characteristics. These objectives aim to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the anatomical and histological aspects of connective tissue and muscles.
