Humoral immunity, also known as antibody-mediated immunity, involves the production of antibodies that circulate in the blood and other body fluids, neutralizing pathogens and promoting their elimination. Dendritic cells are a type of immune cell that play a crucial role in initiating and regulating immune responses. They capture antigens and present them to other immune cells, activating an immune response. The innate immune system is the body's first line of defense against pathogens and includes physical barriers (like the skin), chemical barriers (like stomach acid), and various immune cells that can quickly respond to infections.
