What are the steps to install the cylinder head cover in a vehicle engine?
Use the jack to lift the engine assembly until the cylinder head cover can be removed from the vehicle.
Install the cylinder head cover and the gasket. Tighten the bolts with a torque of 15 N·m (133 lbs. in.)
Use the jack to raise the engine assembly until the engine mount support bolt can be installed.
Remove the jack and install the fuel filter water separator.
Connect the crankcase breather hose to the front of the cylinder head cover.
Plug in the (5) electrical connectors of the glow plugs.
Install the coolant duct and install the retainer bolt.
Install the intake manifold elbow.
Remove the pushrod retainers.
Slide the hydraulic lifter remover and installer through the opening in the block and firmly seat the tool on the lifter head.
Pull the lifter to remove it from the hole with a twisting motion.
Lubricate the lifters.
Install the lifters and the retainers in their original positions.
Install the cylinder head cover.
Connect the negative battery cable.
Start and run the engine. Warm it up to normal operating temperature.
