What is the content that will be covered in the Entomology Applied discipline?
The Integrated Pest Management of legumes (soybean and beans) and cotton and the interrelationships that crop succession has on pest management will be addressed.
The concepts of Integrated Pest Management will be applied through the recognition of pest insects and natural enemies of legumes and cotton, symptoms of attack, relationship with crop phenology, control levels through appropriate sampling and monitoring techniques, and finally, definition of management strategies following the MIP strategies.
The strategies of MIP will not be discussed in this discipline.

A disciplina de Entomologia Aplicada abordará o Manejo Integrado de Pragas de leguminosas (soja e feijão) e algodão, bem como as inter-relações que a sucessão de culturas tem no manejo de pragas. Os conceitos de Manejo Integrado de Pragas serão aplicados por meio do reconhecimento de insetos-praga e inimigos naturais de leguminosas e algodão, sintomas de ataque, relação com a fenologia da cultura, níveis de controle por meio de técnicas apropriadas de amostragem e monitoramento e, finalmente, definição de estratégias de manejo seguindo as estratégias do MIP. Vale ressaltar que as estratégias do MIP não serão discutidas nesta disciplina.
