Características e Classificação dos Fungos Ascomicetos

Prévia do material em texto

1
 Eucaryotes
 Cell wall constituents are chitin or cellulose
 Spores are formed in a sexual and asexual stage
 Heterotrophs, nutrition by absorption, after release of
exoenzimes
 Hyphae are septate or aseptate, forming a mycelium
 Unicellular forms: yeasts or yeast-like stages
 Most important decomposers of organic matter in nature.

1- One fungus – One name
Amsterdam Declaration on fungal nomenclature
April 2011
1
Recognizes the need for
1. an orderly transition to a single-name nomenclatural
system for all fungi, and
2. to provide mechanisms to protect names that otherwise
then become endangered.
PFP 520 - Micologia 2022
18th International Botanical Congress in Melbourne,
Australia July 2011
Changes will take effect on 1 January 2012.
 International Code of Nomenclature of algae, fungi, and plants ICN
(former: International Code for Botanical Nomenclature ICBN)
 Code will allow for the electronic publication of names of new taxa.
 Either English or Latin is allowed for essential components of the
publication of a new name.
 Names of new fungi will require the citation of a unique identifier
issued by a recognized repository that will register the name, e.g.
MycoBank (CBS)
 Adoption of the principle of “one fungus, one name”.
