Ways to minimize environmental damage in the neighborhoods of the City of Pemba Prevention No principle of catastrophe risk prevention should be considered, in advance, in order to reduce as its consequences or eliminate as causes. these include plans: a) Installation of sewage and sanitation networks to protect water and territories; b) Capture of garbage, residues and packaging of pesticides, which cause devastating effects on all natural environments; c) Elimination of deposits, dumps, solid waste landfills and open sewers; d) Monitoring of land use and exploitation of natural resources. Mitigation Mitigation plans aim to reverse partial damage and minimize risk situations and environmental impacts, through intervention in vulnerable areas. Among the main mitigation plans are: a) Keep most of the degraded areas in a close to natural state; b) Condition agricultural and livestock operations; c) Prevent occupation with housing in delimited protection areas; d) Condition industrial facilities; e) Diverting roads and transferring buildings in risk zones; f) Limit the construction of marginal roads and the intensity of traffic; g) Control land occupation and extraction. iii. Remediation Remedial measures are based on monitoring the evolution of environmental phenomena. Where we can highlight: a) Ensuring the reduction of groundwater pollution and preventing its aggravation; b) Promoting the sustainable use of water, based on a long-term protection of available water resources; c) Ensuring the supply in sufficient quantity of surface water and underground of good quality, as necessary for a sustainable and balanced use; d) Promote the modernization of public policies to improve performance, which today are negative in basic sanitation issues SECOND SECTION Complete Using am or are.
