LINKING WORDS 1

What are linking words? 
Linking words and phrases are used to show relationships between ideas. They join two or more sentences or clauses.
Linking words can be used to add ideas together; contrast ideas; show the cause of something; indicate conclusion, etc. 
ADDITION
This type of linking word introduces more information which extends the previous statement. For instance:
Riding your bike whenever possible is better 
 for the environment AND your body!

CONCLUSION
Fruit and vegetables are packed with vitamins,
 minerals and fiber, so they're a great source of
 nutrients and vital for a healthy diet.

REASON
When giraffes are attacked by enemies such
 as lions, they kick out with their feet, 
in order to injure other animals seriously.

TIME SEQUENCING
How To Make Tea
First, boil water in a kettle. Then warm the teapot. After that, add the tea.  
Wait for some minutes and serve your tea.   
 
 Tea can be served with lemon or milk and sugar or honey.
